Owing to family difficulties, I've had to slow down writing this fanfic. For this reason, I'll post up summaries of the remaining chapters, and put up each chapter as I eventually write it.
SUMMARY
Meowth lies to Sam, telling him that Butch called him back. Sam throws Meowth the keys, but as soon as he turns his back, Meowth swipes him, knocking him unconscious to the floor. Meowth then releases the hostages. He gives them back their Poké balls and leads them to an escape tunnel. They hesitate, but once Meowth tells them what Butch was planning to do to Ash, they decide that following Meowth is their best course of action.
On the way through the dark tunnel, Meowth explains that if Butch and Giovanni can't settle their differences, then it's the end of Team Rocket, and he wants to bail out before it's too late.
The tunnel leads to the shore, where there's a boat hidden behind some rocks. They drag the boat into the water and head off. Meowth continues spilling out, saying that he has never been able to associate with other Pokémon, especially since he speaks human language. To humans, he is only a Pokémon. In Team Rocket, he belonged somewhere. Now, he's got nowhere. At least he could do something useful in his life and save the "twerps".
Meowth then drops them off at the beach near Bill's lighthouse, then fades away alone into the night.
